Alexandra (“Ali”) is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey, where her practice has focused exclusively on family law for over a decade. Prior to the formation of SeidenFreed LLC, Ali was a family law attorney at Ulrichsen Rosen & Freed LLC. She is empathetic and appreciates that the uncertainty surrounding divorce is emotionally taxing for her clients. She tries to alleviate this stress by ensuring that clients are knowledgeable and well-versed in the law. She also counsels her clients on how the law applies to the individual facts of their case, and how the issues in a case are interrelated and affect an overall resolution.

Her experience and knowledge of the subtleties in family law allows her to craft individualized and creative solutions to the numerous issues that may arise during a divorce. She takes a reasonable approach to resolving disputes and keeps clients involved throughout the divorce process. She also appreciates that circumstances often change during a case and will counsel clients when strategies and positions should be re-evaluated.

She has courtroom experience in the Family Part addressing a wide variety of issues related to enforcement of existing court orders, modification and termination of alimony and child support obligations, emancipation, college contribution, jurisdiction, pendente lite support and final restraining orders. Alexandra has also successfully represented clients in the New Jersey Appellate Division on issues related to the modification of alimony and child support, emancipation, establishing college contribution obligations, and counsel fees.

She is a member of the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association (FLEC). For the 2024-2025 term, she was appointed to serve on the Domestic Violence Legislative Sub-Committee, Alternative Dispute Resolution Task Force and Digital Privacy/Private of Records Committee.

Ali is also an Associate Editor of the New Jersey Family Lawyer Magazine. On the Editorial Board she regularly publishes articles related to the practice of Family Law in New Jersey. These articles have included, “How Courts Define Full-Time College Enrollment for Purposes of Emancipation,” “How to Calculate the Savings Component of an Alimony Award,” “Can Summary Judgment Procedure Resolve Family Law Related Issues?” and “Addressing the Use of Technology in Custody Agreements.

She is a part of the Women’s Divorce Alliance which aims to engage, educate and empower women going through divorce and assist them to better navigate the process. The Women’s Divorce Alliance also helps connect women to skilled female professionals who may be needed throughout the divorce process such as therapists and accountants.

Ali also serves as a Matrimonial Early Settlement Panelists in Mercer County. The Matrimonial Early Settlement Program is program used by the Courts to help divorcing couples reach an agreement on the economic terms of their divorce instead going to trial. Panelists are selected by the Presiding Judge of the Family Part in each county and make recommendations on how equitable distribution, child support and alimony should be resolved after reviewing the facts presented in each case.

Ali previously interned for the New Jersey Supreme Court with Justice Virginia A. Long (Ret.) and Justice Helen E. Hoens (Ret.). For the 2013-2014 court term, Ali served as law clerk to the Honorable Catherine Fitzpatrick, P.J.F.P. (Ret.), the former Presiding Judge of the New Jersey Superior Court, Chancery Division, Family Part in Mercer County.

She graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in Economics and English from Rutgers College at Rutgers University and graduated with honors from Rutgers School of Law-Camden. At graduation, Alexandra received the Deborah Michael Richards Excellence in Family Law Award.

Ali resides in Hopewell with her husband, Derek, and their two children, Mary and John. She currently serves as the President of the Board of Trustees of the Pennington Montessori School. In 2024, she placed 3^rd in the New Jersey State Triathlon Championship and was ranked 110^th in the nation by USA Triathlon.
