Neethi Vasudevan is an attorney at SeidenFreed LLC. She is admitted to the bar in the State of New Jersey.  She acknowledges that a divorce is a difficult period in a client’s life, and the stress of it is often compounded by confusion about procedures within the court system.  She helps clients navigate the divorce process and court system by keeping them informed about each step in the process and how the law applies to the facts of their individual cases.

Neethi’s practice is focused solely on family law and she has experience with a range of issues including, but not limited to, enforcement of prior court orders, calculating and modifying child support, custody and parenting time disputes, as well as emergency applications known as orders to show cause.

She serves as a member of the board of directors of the Asian Pacific American Lawyers of New Jersey. She also serves as a trustee for the Mercer County Bar Association where she is also co-chair on the Family Law Committee.

Neethi is member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey. She is also an active member of the Women’s Divorce Alliance, which aims to engage, educate and empower women going through divorce and assist them to better navigate the process. The Women’s Divorce Alliance also helps connect women to skilled female professionals who may be needed throughout the divorce process, such as therapists and accountants.

After graduating law school, Neethi served as the judicial law clerk to the former Presiding Judge of the Mercer County Family Part, the Honorable Catherine Fitzpatrick, J.S.C. (Ret.).  As a law clerk in the Family Part, Neethi learned the inner workings of the court system and gained a deep understanding of how the judges in the Mercer County Family Part interpret and apply the law. When she was a law clerk, Neethi was responsible for reading pleadings, drafting orders, calculating child support obligations, and addressing a variety of other family law issues.

Neethi received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Studies from The College of New Jersey and received her J.D. from The American University Washington College of Law. While she was in law school, Neethi interned for the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center where she interviewed potential clients and researched legal issues on various family law matters. She also served as a student attorney in the American University Washington College of Law’s International Human Rights Law Clinic. During her final year in law school, Neethi was recognized for completing the American University Washington College of Law’s Pro Bono Honors Pledge in the category of Exceptional Pro Bono Service.
